Successful implementation of an early warning system at a large manufacturing company.

This manufacturing company had a mayor challenge as their high voltage electric feeding cable was stolen numerous times outside their premises between the power station and their manufacturing premises. This causes the factory to be without electricity and the loss of many production hours.

A VibraTek Plus vibration-sensitive linear sensor cable and MkiroTek controller was Implemented to protect the high voltage under-ground cable.

Normally this combination is installed on fences and barriers to define the perimeter of a secure site.

With this implementation Winbussol thought out of the box and used the VibraTek vibration cable as an early warning system by installing the VibraTek vibration cable 500 mm above the High voltage power cable which was buried a meter under-ground.

Winbussol attached the VibraTek cable to a MikroTek controller which was attached to two sirens. One to make alarm close to the high voltage cable, that the perpetrators can hear that people know they are there and a second siren at the manufacturing company’s security offices.

When the perpetrators start to dig to steal the electric cable, the VibraTek system will detect the vibrations and start to make an alarm at the manufacturers security offices and near to the theft.

This will either chase the perpetrators away or allow the manufacturer’s security people to catch or chase the thieves away without any damage to the high voltage power cable or loss of production hours.
